The Infectious Diseases Therapeutic Research Center at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) is collaborating with biologists and pharmaceutical chemists to conduct research on the development of therapeutic drugs for infectious diseases. The Laboratory for BioMolecular Structure (LBMS) is engaged in research aimed at identifying drug target proteins and developing drugs based on the three-dimensional structure of biomolecules.

The goal of LBMS is to advance the development of therapeutic drugs for infectious diseases by integrating experimental structural biology techniques, including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM, with in silico studies such as AI-based research, virtual screening, and molecular dynamics simulations.
